If you would like a simple exercise that you can do right where you are try deep breathing. We often over look the importance of simply breathing deeply and fully. Breathing can lower blood pressure, reduce stress, reduce inflammation, decrease heart rate, and lower cortisol.
If you try to breathe deeply all day long, you will probably end up not doing it at all. Instead, try choosing 1 or 2 times that you commit yourself to inhaling and exhaling. You can do this while:
- driving
- cooking
- reading
- grocery shopping
- standing in line
- reading strange blogs!
